Late afternoon sunlight bathes both mountain and vessels, while rippling reflections play across the surface of the water. A light mist floats at the water line, just at the edge of the evergreen forest on the shore. This 9 x 12 print is a reproduction of the original letterpress piece from “Local Conditions," a 15-print limited-edition series depicting Washington’s Mt. Rainier from a variety of vantage points. The original artwork was letterpress printed by hand on an antique Vandercook No. 4 press and then hand-painted with watercolor.
