Description
Part of a series of half-sheet animal designs, this Barnyard Mule print is a historic restrike, or reprint, of the original wood block designed in the 1930's by Dallas artist Clyde Clack, initially as a means of teaching the craft of woodcarving to Depression-era technical school students. The designs became favorites, and recently, many of the original hand-carved wood blocks, some of which hadn't been printed in decades, were returned to Hatch Show Print. Designer's notes: Size: 30" x 22" Letterpress print. Printed on a Vandercook 28-42. Inked by hand. Handmade in Nashville, Tennessee.

We're thrilled to be able to import work from Hatch Show Print to the UK with ease and cost efficiency using this platform. It's hard to source original letterpress prints of this scale here. I would add that the prints were unwrapped which is not an issue for us as a print/paper goods manufacturer and retailer but might be a packaging issue for stores not dealing in lots of paper goods.
