At its heart, this piece honours my family’s lineage, Wiradjuri and Punthamara, two families whose stories, land, and people are forever interwoven. These designs remind us that no tribe exists in isolation; we are bound together through kinship, culture, and shared responsibility. The central circle symbolises a vision of unity, a tribute to my great-grandfather, Reverend William Bird. He stood for reconciliation and believed in a United Australia, where First Nations people and all Australians walk together with respect and understanding.
