Wholesale Super Girls + Women: Noor Jahan Art Print

Art print of one of my illustrations in the book Stories for South Asian Super Girls written by Raj Kaur Khaira. This is the portrait of Noor Jahan. She was a mighty empress during the Mughal Empire. She boldly led the empire when her husband, Emperor Jahangir could not. I decided to depict her with a glow around her head (a nimbus) – a nod to the way rulers of the period were depicted to show their divine right to rule. Depictions of Noor Jahan from this period do not include a nimbus since she was an unofficial ruler. But she really was the powerful leader of the Mughal Empire for many years so I wanted to show her with this element to signify her standing as a full on ruler. • 8x10 inch print, including a white border • Standard frameable size in the US • Archival cotton paper • Signed by artist • Unframed
