Amruth has been used since ancient times in the teachings of Ayurveda. It grows deep within the vast deciduous forests of India. This climbing plant can grow enormously large, has long aerial roots, and a creamy white to gray bark. Its red seeds are no larger than a pea. In natural health teachings, the entire Amruth plant, including the stems and roots, is used. These fresh plant parts contain various beneficial properties. On a person's doshas (constitution), Amruth has a reducing effect on Vata, Pitta, and Kapha (Tridosha).</p>
