Description
Our Propolis Tinctures are made with Propolis harvested from our hives! What is bee propolis? Propolis is a resinous substance that is collected by bees from several different sources. Bees use propolis to protect themselves from insects and microorganisms, employing it as a cement to seal cracks or open spaces in the hive, to sterilize the queen-bee posture site, and to mummify insect invaders. Bees collect propolis from sprouts, flower-buds, trees and other vegetal-tissue that produce resinous flavonoids. There are over 300 compounds present in propolis, most of which are antioxidants. In humans, research has shown that bee propolis can reduce inflammation, help prevent infection and help flush toxins from the body.
