Miss Jane Woodman is a darling 1837 English Sampler. Easy to stitch with many motifs and very little lettering. There is an insert with two cartouche versions - Aida and linen. your choice. Stitch the cartouche first and then enter the lettering of your choice. A nice cream colored linen or Aida cloth is perfect. if you like overdyed fabric, Fiber on a Whim’s Milk & Honey would be lovely. Use one strand of Flower thread or 1-2 strands of DMC. I use 2 strands DMC on 36 count and one on anything finer than that. If you chose Flower Thread, 36 count linen or 18 count Aida is max. You can go to the RSN stitch bank and make yourself familiar with the Closed Herringbone stitch.
