Description
A natural calcium supplement to balance the naturally occurring phosphorus in home-prepared (DIY) fresh food diets. * Locally pasture-raised eggs (duck, guinea & chicken) * Economical, natural, wholefood source of elemental calcium for those that do not feed bones (whole or ground) as a part of the daily diet. * Eggshell Powder is a good calcium choice when preparing DIY meals for animals in chronic renal failure (CRF) because it acts as a mild phosphorus binder. * The eggshell membrane mainly consists of protein in the form of collagen plus small amounts of chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine and other nutrients considered beneficial for the joints. * Rinsed/washed using just water and raw, organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. * Dehydrated and ground in small batches. To Balance Ca:Ph Ratio in Home-prepared Meals: Add 1/2 tsp of ground eggshell powder to every 16 oz (pound) of BONELESS meat/organs/veggies/grains. Provides approx. ~750-1,000 mg calcium per teaspoon.
