I want my nieces (my favorite people around) to grow up confident and empowered. That's why I created pencils for them, with a few things I've learned: that being kind is a sign of internal strength, that there's nothing wrong with an ample serving of ambition, and that the coolest people are the ones who care about stuff. Share them with a kid (or grownup) in your life who could use a reminder.
