It is given many names, tailed pepper or Cubeb, Embebe pepper, Cubeche pepper, Kissi pepper or Java pepper, which creates confusion and it is frequently confused with other wild peppers. Like its cousin black pepper, cubeb pepper was born in Kerala in South India. Indonesia is now the main producer. This culture is mainly done on the islands of Madura, Moluccas and Celebes. They are also grown in Sri Lanka. Its fragrance is rich and complex, with a beautiful aromatic power, camphor and tangy, with mentholated and floral touches.
