Vinyl is a riso print from our series Extra Ordinary. Extra Ordinary is a tribute to everyday items. It celebrates the objects we use almost daily without thinking about the often wonderful design or greater concept behind them. Although we don't use cassette tapes anymore, it still belongs in our Extra Ordinary series! Risography is a technique where you use a duplicating machine to print colours separately, layer by layer. The result is somewhat reminiscent of screen printing. Risography uses semi-transparent inks based on vegetable oil (soy or rice). Due to the technology, each print is slightly different, which makes each riso print unique. Designed & printed by VrijFormaat at their studio in Utrecht. Ink colours: red and blue.
