Ingredients: 100% direct trade Ecuadorian cacao Description Ceremonial cacao comes from ancient Mayan traditions in Central America (primarily Guatemala where the practice is common). Essentially, for cacao to be "ceremonial grade" it needs to be prepared by indigenous women from heirloom cacao cultivars (though this is typically up for debate). Our Ceremonial cacao is grown, roasted and refined by a womens cooperative in Tosagua, Ecuador and imported by Seva Chocolate. Typically purchased in large disks, or bricks of pure cacao, we grate this hard to use hefty lunk into easy to use granulated powder (it melts way easier that way). Just add up to an ounce to your cup with hot water (or milk of choice) and you''ll have a nice stable buzz going to get you through the various rituals of your day.
