Le Mot was founded in 2017 by Susana Santos, a lifelong fashion enthusiast with a love for France and an affinity for Parisian style. After six years in Paris, Susana returned to her hometown, Lisbon, yet found herself missing that unmistakable French je ne sais quoi. Constantly searching for t-shirts with a clean, French-inspired aesthetic, Susana decided to create her own brand, Le Mot, to bring a touch of France not only to her life but to everyone else craving it. Inspired by her love of words—especially French ones (because, let’s face it, everything sounds sexier in French)—Susana founded Le Mot as a brand for t-shirt lovers with a sense of humor and style, who want to wear their favorite words proudly, close to their hearts.Read their story
