About Arte de Avi

Arte de Avi is storytelling through art. I create colorful memories with movement, energy, and identity in each piece. My Mexican-American heritage, dance, and the strength of my community is what inspires my original artwork. Many of my paintings are inspired by my family and friends, who have faced many obstacles in life, yet continue to represent their community with vibrancy and courage. My art celebrates the experiences, efforts, and tenacity of incredible women, the working class, and the communities they come from.
