About Hola! I'm Back

When you least expect it, life will take you where you really belong. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia although New York City has been my home for the last 5 years. I'm an Industrial Designer and I always saw the urgency of implementing reusable, upcycled and natural materials in all my projects. Hola! I'm Back was founded on the idea to demonstrate that upcycled and repurposed materials can be transformed into a new beautiful object, where it can also be stylish and luxurious while not continuing to harm nature. I work directly with women artisan communities in Colombia, designing and hand making products using natural fibers, dry fruit peel and upcycled wood from plantations. All our products are woven, painted and engraved by hand. We ensure the implementation of eco-friendly pigments as part of our commitment with the Planet. Most of our pieces are representations of the beautiful Colombian biodiversity like the birds and flowers collection. I hope our products inspire you as much as they inspire an entire community.
