About Sister Contemporary

Sister Contemporary was established to support a curated selection of some of the best British contemporary artists working today and to bring their creativity and hard work to a wider audience. We are building a community that supports exceptional artists. We are intentionally supporting impressive women artists, alongside exceptional male artists. We wish to encourage more people to invest in art as tangible assets that can be loved and passed on. We support real artwork from original and innovative thinkers. Our artworks will reduce your blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate. It will reduce inflammation and increase serotonin. (Dr Tara Swart) Art for art's sake and art as therapy. Art, is has been argued, has seven main functions according to the philosopher Alain de Botton, remembering, hope, sorrow, rebalancing, self-understanding, growth and appreciation.
