About Terras do Demo

Terras Do Demo Company was founded in 2000 by José Cardoso, after more than 10 years working in livestock trading and butcher shop operations. The company is based in Vila Nova de Paiva, in the Viseu District, and is dedicated to the production of traditional charcuterie. The opportunity for growth and expansion arose in 2017, with the acquisition of a new production unit in Armamar, which enabled a substantial increase in production capacity with both production units active. In 2019, following market trends, Terras do Demo took a new step by introducing sliced and packaged fresh meat products to its portfolio. Terras do Demo acquired the technical skills, equipment, and infrastructure to carry out the entire process, from slaughter to processing and shipping. It ensures a complete circuit in the handling of charcuterie, smoked, cured, cooked, sliced, and fresh and frozen meats. Currently, focused on modern national and international distribution, it is present in Portugal and in more than 20 countries. With over 200 employees, it is a company more attentive and prepared to meet the needs of consumers and the market, with an emphasis on product innovation and presentation.
