About Oaks & Ocean

Oaks & Ocean jewelry is designed to reflect the beauty in nature, specifically the Georgia coast. Each piece features small natural objects found locally, such as pressed wildflowers, honeycomb, seashells, shark teeth, beach sand and more. All items used in jewelry are locally found, and all of the pressed plants are native to the area. Paula VanOtteren, Oaks & Ocean creator, grew up on the Georgia coast, and has always loved collecting shells and flowers. Now, she shares that excitement with her husband and two young daughters. In 2018, Paula started combining her found objects with her love of jewelry making, and began creating pieces that featured natural objects through resin casting. Each piece holds a unique part of what makes the coast a beautiful place to live or visit. Oaks & Ocean strives to isolate small pieces of nature in jewelry to highlight the beauty in the little things around us. Read their story
