About FRANCESCA VERARDO CERAMICS

Francesca Verardo is a ceramist who lives and works in Italy. An architect by training, he cultivates his passion for ceramics by training with Italian and international master potters. In 2013, after meeting with David Roberts, founder of the Naked Raku movement in Europe, he opened his own laboratory in Pordenone. Francesca Verardo designs and creates pure and complex shapes, pursuing a minimal and geometric design. She prefers stoneware and porcelain in matt and monochrome finishes. He devotes much of his research to the study of surfaces and their changing ability to relate to light. Fascinated by ceramics because it carries a knowledge that has evolved over the centuries, she tries to represent in her work the formal and decorative aspects of contemporaneity, reinterpreting techniques traditional.
