About The Blockprint Tree

The Blockprint Tree is an Amsterdam based textile company, focusing on block printed fabrics, started by Anne Ritsema van Eck. It is born out of a huge love for Indian handmade textiles. We work closely with a fairtrade company of block printers from Rajasthan. The whole process starts with the block carvers, the people who make our patterns into wooden printing blocks. Then the blockprinters print the patterns on the fabric so very skilfully. Not one machine is used in the process. Sustainable fact: the blockprinters we work with re-use all the water they need in this process. It is cleaned by a plant based water cleaning system. The Blockprint Tree has high quality standards, the best fabrics and a beautiful product finish. We are a fairtrade company. Read their story
