Jones, was born in Arkansas and raised on the bold, soulful flavors of the South. He learned the art of barbecue from his father, William U. Jones Sr., and carried those traditions with him when he moved to Seattle as a young boy. Years later, as a lieutenant in the Seattle Fire Department, William became known for his legendary barbecue at summer firehouse picnics. He’d cook in big batches, bringing his homemade sauce and smoked meats to gatherings that brought the whole department together. The food spoke for itself — and his fellow firefighters, friends, and family encouraged him and his wife to turn that passion into a business. In 1989, Jones Barbeque was born. For over 30 years, our family has proudly served the Pacific Northwest through our restaurant, catering, stadium concessions, and local stores — always using our original homemade recipes and signature seasonings made in-house, just like we did back at the firehouse. Now, we’re excited to bring our sauces and seasonings to the world through online wholesale.
