Monica is a young millennial with a passion for fashion and food. Born in the south of Italy, in a small town by the sea, soon after graduation she takes a gap year to travel the world. From Barcelona to Ibiza, from London to New York, her free spirit is enriched by cultural diversity, while her desire to connect back to her roots grows stronger. Away from home, her fond memories of grandma teaching her to crochet became the starting point for creating Pipikini, a brand that reflects an old tradition of love and passion. The name 'Pipikini' comes from an old Calabrian recipe that almost every woman who crochet knows how to cook...” stuffed peppers”. It's a dish of authentic southern flavors that Monica wants to embed in her unique, tactile and colourful beachwear collection, handmade by local women in the south of Italy and in Bali.
