Zenbunnyland is joyous. Steffi Sutton loves the unique elements that fire brings into her line work. Keeping 'the line' at the forefront of her assembled compositions and burned panels, she takes on different surfaces. Her sense of whimsy is ever apparent. Steffi's interests always include the human form, in particular, the female figure. Her themes shift to plant, animal, spiritual + environment, but always seem to return to the human figure; understanding its effect and place on this bright blue planet. “Fire is in my life. I discovered Pyrogravure in the desert and now it’s my passion; a natural progression for my love of line. Burning into wood is tactile, visceral and always perilous. Fire is at the fingertips of our existence, especially in the high desert of California where I live and work. I create images from concepts I adore: mythology, tarot, astrology, tiki, science & always our sacred sky. I keep pushing and pulling them together and apart. Exploring, and always looking for more”. We’ve created a line of unique postcards and folded greeting cards, printed on genuine maple wood from details of some of Steffi’s favorite art panels. Most contain a clever quote relevant to the image. The folded greeting card includes an envelope. All cards are protected by a clear PVC sleeve, allowing your customers to handle without concern.
