About Lucie In The Sky

I’m Lucie, the illustrator and creator behind Lucie In The Sky, an art print studio based in the vibrant heart of Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. I pour my creativity and life experiences into every piece I make. Inspired by my travels and the magic in everyday moments, my work is all about bringing colour, character and joy into your space. My journey began with a love for sketching and painting from a young age. After years of teaching myself, I went on to study Surface Design, which naturally led me into illustration. I began selling my art prints in 2023 and started building my brand in Newcastle through markets at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Ouseburn Market and Craft & Flea events around the country. In 2024, I expanded into wholesale, and my work now reaches stockists across the UK. Alongside my digital illustrations, I create original mixed-media paintings and hand-drawn artworks, many of which are sold in a local art gallery. My originals often inspire my print collections, allowing me to offer both one-of-a-kind pieces and affordable prints for everyone. I recently held a pop-up exhibition at the lovely shop Flaura Rose, where I showcased my originals and prints to an amazing crowd. I use a mix of traditional sketching and digital methods to bring each idea to life. Every print is made to brighten your home with bold colour and joy, and all artwork is eco-friendly and locally printed here in Newcastle upon Tyne.Read their story
