About Chroma

The name Chroma comes from the Greek word for “colour.” It also echoes the element Chromium, known for its unique ability to shift colors depending on its chemical state. This beautiful transformation captures what we believe desserts should be—ever-changing, imaginative, and wonderfully unique. When we first started Chroma in Hong Kong, our signature creations were galaxy macarons and mirror-glazed cakes—edible expressions of colour and wonder. The theme of the “universe” wasn’t just about aesthetics to us; it symbolized endless possibilities. Just like the ever-shifting night sky, every person has a story that's entirely their own. After moving to the UK, we brought this same passion with us and continued to craft cakes with care. But with new logistics and a different landscape, we also began exploring another path. As someone from Asia living abroad, we saw an opportunity to share our culture through flavour—something personal, familiar, and deeply rooted. That led us to create a line of tea-inspired spreads, all with an Asian touch. They're simple enough to enjoy on toast for a quiet morning treat, or stirred into hot water or milk for a comforting cup of rich, velvety milk tea.
