Karen has always been drawn to creating with her hands. From an early age, she found joy in shaping raw materials into something meaningful and lasting. Over the years, that love for design and craftsmanship grew into a passion for working across different mediums — especially wood. Whether it’s a small ornament or a larger piece of furniture, she believes that every grain carries its own story, waiting to be revealed. Today, Karen channels that passion into Grain of Hope and KP FireBowls, where she blends thoughtful design with the timeless beauty of materials. Many of her projects are created alongside her son, turning craft into connection and shared experience. Together, they’ve enjoyed building, learning, and sharing their work at artisan shows, where each piece finds a new home and continues its story.
