Skin Deep, is a fine jewellery brand which creates collectible pieces for the here, the now and the forever. It was founded in 2015 by designer Marina Moldovan, initially as a slow-fashion brand, showcasing basic apparel and handcrafted jewellery inspired by her own hand writing and personal experiences. "It all started with a catchphrase. You know, those words that come to you randomly, in the most unexpected situations, like when you hit a furniture corner with your pinky and say:“Oh, shit!” — It is the intensity of the here&now condensed in this one catchphrase. Then we translate the words to a joke or metaphor that catches flight as it starts to be applied to other, unrelated situations. This way, the words become language games, or simply intimate reminders of the present moment. They tell a private —, mystical story which may not be easy to understand but it is still told.
