Larisa’s journey started when she was introduced to the wonderful world of jewelry making in one of her undergraduate classes. Since then, she fell in love with this art discipline and decided to make this her career. She went eventually to do a master in fashion management and marketing to have a solid foundation for what today is MADU. She is currently the designer and maker of all of MADU’s pieces. Originally inspired by Parure jewelry she wanted to mesh the idea of modern designs with interchangeable mechanisms to create new and revolutionary pieces of jewelry. Parure jewelry was invented in the early 19th century and featured a combination of matching necklace, earrings and bracelet that were not a static set but rather the necklace could be temporarily disassembled and re-assembled into a bracelet or hair ornament with interchangeable components or mechanisms. Therefore, MADÚ was born, a passionate determination to bring functional jewelry to hardworking women that have an “always on the move” lifestyle, this way they can be always be comfortable and fashionable. We offer affordable silver jewelry with uniquely designed mechanisms that make it easier to customize your pieces for your own style in your own time. All the designs and production are made locally in our studio in Spain making sure that we keep sustainability in mind. We use ECO-silver as our main material, as well as Swarovski certified gems and recycled packaging.
