Refreshing Apparel was founded in 2020. Amidst the pandemic working as a Nurse, I found how frail life really is and I wanted to create a business that could help others, but where I could be with my little ones. Something I noticed as a neurology nurse was that many people don't want to talk about mental health. Things like depression and ADHD carry a stigma that many don't want to be attached to. Creating pieces that are stylish, but also spark conversations that can create awareness and ability to speak freely about your own diagnosis, or simply because you support and love someone that does have it, was pretty important to me. With each piece comes not only a thank you card, but also information about the condition because education is everything!
