About Chippewa Beadwork

Christina, the creator of Chippewa Beadwork, is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa. She designs and creates each piece of beadwork by hand in Phoenix, Arizona. Chippewa Beadwork was first started in 2022 after Christina became disabled from chronic illness. The brand began as a way for Christina to use Indigenous techniques to create wearable art, while being able to work remotely. Today, Chippewa Beadwork prioritizes two main goals at the forefront. First, to create slow fashion that puts quality over quantity. And second, to empower women to celebrate their individual diversity and unique beauty.
