About Fashion Butterflies

I started having a deep affinity towards butterflies in a transitional stage of my life, and saw them as a beautiful symbol of transformation. I had a canvas printing business at the time and a big inkjet printer. I remember how I adhered a piece of fabric to a foil sheet and printed my first butterfly on it. Later followed the fabric firming techniques and soon I had the whole process of creating beautiful silk butterflies figured out. After I had the collection of silk butterflies ready, a friend of mine suggested that I should try to use different materials besides silk. That's how I discovered velvet sheets, faux leather and the latest fun material glitter sheets. After creating the usual accessories like necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pins etc. I came up with an idea for butterfly shoe accessories and shoe lace accessories. I have a long tray by my entrance door and every day depending on the color of my outfit I choose a matching butterfly pin and a bracelet or earrings. It gives my mood a real boost and I know that when I go into a coffee shop or another store the cashier will exclaim with "Oh, I love your butterflies!" As a conscious small business owner I support the initiative to preserve the Monarch butterflies by creating more dedicated butterfly gardens with the plant milkweed.
