Sappho's Jewelry was born from a personal journey and desire to fill a unique gap in the market. As a late-in-life lesbian, I, the founder and designer of Sappho's, discovered a profound lack of unique and classy jewelry options that authentically represented queer women. The market seemed saturated with rainbows, but I wanted something more-something that echoed the rich, historical and contemporary narratives of lesbian culture. Inspired by the timeless poetry of Sappho, the Ancient Greek lyric poet who wrote about love and desire between women and who most declare as our first lesbian in history. Each original design is thoughtfully created, drawing from significant symbols and stories within the lesbian community, ensuring our jewelry is not just an accessory but a wearable work of art that is a statement of identity and authenticity.
