About Art & Design by Diane

Diane Huneke is a water colorist and conservationist living in San Diego. She loves to capture the beauty of her environment, and has a passion for painting native plants in the state parks and botanic gardens around Southern California. After growing up in the Midwest and becoming an elementary school art teacher, she lived in Hawaii and traveled to Tahiti, which influenced her love of tropical flowers and seashells. At the University of Hawaii, she also had the opportunity to learn the serene art of Chinese brush painting. In partnership with her daughter, Emma Brown, who helps her run the Art & Design by Diane shop, Diane is delighted to share her enchanting and peaceful works of art with you.Read their story
