In doing this work, she draws on her background not only as an artist, but also as an environmental and arts educator with a passion for finding the intersection of science, community and creativity. Create. Connection. Her current series, Threatened Texas, addresses Threatened, Endangered and Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) in Texas. She samples colors from actual images of species and to create original digitally-based art inspired by their unique palettes. 5% of the profits from this series enthusiastically goes to help Threatened & Endangered Species.
