Tom and Matt, partners in life and business, started Babington Soap Co with a goal to produce a luxury sanitizer that people wanted to use rather than had to use. A product that didn't kill skin but did kill 99.9% of germs. The aim was to focus on making a 2-in-1 product that was moisturizer first and antibacterial second. The decision led to a multi-award-winning product that was based around a mushroom-derived product (called chitosan). The success of the 2-in-1 led Tom and Matt to a life goal of creating other luxury skincare products where the emphasis is on mushroom-based ingredients. Their journey has led them into a world they knew nothing about but is fascinating. The power of sustainable and plentiful mushrooms in skincare products is simply amazing and yet to be explored to its full potential. That is what Babington Soap mission has become.
