Mr. Giacomo Morra founded the company TARTUFI MORRA in 1930 and since that time has been commercialised the Alba’s white truffles with our brand. Giacomo Morra realised big opportunities of fresh white truffles in the world: he invented the “white truffle festival” (fair) interesting many tourists from all over the world. He had the idea to present the biggest truffle of the season to a VIP: Rita Hayworth, Truman, Churchill, Marilyn Monroe, Khrushchev, Papa Giovanni XXIII, Papa Paolo XI, Sophia Loren, Kennedy, Pavarotti etc. In 1951 Giacomo Morra made a present to the president Truman of USA of the biggest ever found and the weight was of Kg. 2,520. Tartufi Morra is the only company that can display the coat of arms of the city of Alba in its logo. There is an indissoluble link between Tartufi Morra and Alba: a union that has lasted for generations. Today, the Tartufi Morra company is known the world over. Its trademark is synonymous with Italian cuisine.
