About SILVERWIND

SILVERWIND was founded by us (Keri Waits and Katherine Zeng) in Nov 2020. At the beginning of 2020, we just got our graduate jobs and thought we would stay in those jobs for a while to make a living, but we couldn’t find real purpose in our jobs as we both love sustainability & fitness and none of the businesses we worked for care about sustainability. Also, in our course project, we perceived that there was a lack of variety in the styles and shapes of sustainable activewear – given the diversity of people and the stunning range of plants and animals in nature, we felt that it would be a missed opportunity not to take that inspiration to produce products good for people and the planet! Then we started our own small business of making affordable sustainable activewear & swimwear to offer better options for consumers, creating meaningful content to educate ourselves and others, while working with other sustainable organizations and charities to make positive impacts. At SILVERWIND, we don’t view SILVERWIND as simply a brand, but as a community built and owned by everyone who supports the view that diversity, fitness and sustainability mustn’t be mutually exclusive!
