Local Honey Man’s mission is to save the British honeybee. As ethical beekeepers we breed and raise honeybees, support local bee farmers and promote awareness about the wonders of this incredible insect. LHM honey is 100% pure, natural honey, it is unblended, unpasteurized and coarse filtered, exactly as nature intended. The honey is made from the nectar and pollen of a variety of flowers and trees across London and the UK, from our own hives and other ethical beekeepers. We protect and care about honeybees, we ensure that best practice is followed by not clipping the queen’s wings, leaving enough honey in the hive over winter months and where possible feeding our honeybees with honey. The decline of the honeybee is mostly due to changes in farming practices which affects the honeybee’s food sources - meaning there are fewer wildflowers in the landscape than there used to be. We are passionate about sharing our love for beekeeping. Every jar purchased helps us to establish more beehives in the UK, helping us to reverse the decline of nature’s wonder the honeybee.
