Modern Rustic Metal Art was born in Airdrie, AB when I discovered that I could use my husbands tools to make my own custom home decor items! After receiving very positive feedback on the items I'd created for my home and receiving requests from friends and family, I decided to setup my own shop and share my new hobby with others. I love working with steel. I've learned quickly that something typically seen as a very industrial and rugged material, can be used to make very beautiful and delicate pieces. In fact one of my favorite pieces is in my daughters nursery. I also love the imperfection of steel, each piece has it's own markings and blemishes which truly make each piece one of a kind.
