I’ve always been intrigued by the bartending profession. There’s just something magical about the performance you get to witness while the person in front of you combines elements of a recipe in a specific way in order to create what’s essentially a magic potion. I finally got my chance to try and be this person a few years ago when I trained at the oldest tavern in Mississippi. And while I felt I was extremely lucky for this opportunity, and thankful for a great teacher… I quickly came to the conclusion that I should probably just stick to being an artist. But while I was there, I had the idea to create a set of flashcards that could be used in the home as well as behind the bar. And this is how I came up with the idea for the cocktail recipe cards.
