About Mark Lisota Designs

I am a primarily self taught metalsmith. I have had a fascination and love of rocks & gemstones since I was a child looking for treasure in my backyard. Cutting stones was my gateway into jewelry design and creation and I still cut stones to this day. I would describe my designs as modern with clean lines. You can see art deco, mid-century modern and geometric elements in some of my designs. I like movement in my pieces. I find the movement visually interesting. Typically I let the stones in my pieces be the focal point and the design is to facilitate the stone's beauty. Recently I have been experimenting with various textures on my pieces.Read their story
