About Vicini d’istanti

Hi, our name is Vicini d'Istanti, an italian expression with a double interesting meaning: "Close distant" but also "Close for Instants". Vicini d’Istanti is an ethical fashion brand, but also the proposal of a lifestyle, built on respect and valorisation of differences, feed by creativity and boldness, watered through connections among Italy and West Africa. We are a multicultural group of dreamers, urban seachers, hard workers, expertised tailors, passionate young designers, curious university and internship students, tireless volunteers. Our creations are designed and handmade in Italy, but our roots are in Ivory Coast, Mali, Guinea, Ghana, Gambia, thanks to the first african tailor who arrived in Italy in 2016 with his own knowledge in tailoring and his love for wax prints. In Bologna we invest our time and revenues in educational programs to share both italian and african sartorial skills with new generations.Our home decor, clothes and accessories are colorful, handmade and durable, created with made in Italy design in African wax fabrics, for an ethical fashion based on sustainable production chain and respect for people and environment. That’s why we choose wax prints 100% cotton exclusively made in Africa: to increase job opportunities in the countries of provenance of our tailors, to share thought vibrant patterns our beautiful origins and to show a multicultural path to be “Close for Istants” thanks to fashion and beauty.
