About A is for Alphabet Ltd

We make cards, prints and invites that stand out from the norm. We know that the people you care about and the big events in your life deserve something a little better than your standard supermarket greeting card. We know because we feel exactly the same way. That’s why we started this company. Already friends and colleagues, one day we (Laila, business manager, and Dave, designer) got chatting about the lack of truly great greeting cards, invitations and printed gifts out there. We knew Dave’s designs were different than anything in the shops, and we knew Laila could turn those designs into a real, working business. So we decided to stop chatting and to do something about it ourselves instead. Here in our studio in Banbury, Oxfordshire, we make bold, beautiful designs full of humour and happiness, with messages set in our trademark typography. Sometimes we make them brilliantly bright and fun, sometimes stylishly muted and modern, so we’re confident we can cater for your unique taste and style. With that in mind, we give you plenty of choices: you can personalise prints with names and dates, choose the colours and designs you’re after, or even choose your own quotation, lyric or phrase for us to incorporate into one of our typographical artworks.
