About Lil Leaders

WHAT IS LIL LEADERS? Lil Leaders brand provides children’s gift, apparel & accessory products designed with childlike characters. Our characters are uniquely created childlike cartoon representations of leadership figures like an entrepreneur, doctor, scientist or artist, for example, that youth can identify with and wear with enthusiasm. If they see themselves represented as leaders, they believe can be leaders, and that belief gives them the spark and confidence to pursue big dreams! HOW WAS LIL LEADERS CREATED? Christopher Sarpy, an Entrepreneur from Chicago, Illinois, and Ingrid Sarpy, a Mechanical Engineer from Hinesville, Georgia, Co-Founded Lil Leaders in 2016. The idea stemmed from their 5-year-old daughter being saddened that she did not look like some of her favorite hero and princess characters on her clothing like most of her new kindergarten schoolmates. She innocently questioned why none of her clothing had characters that were “brown like me”. We explained that everyone is uniquely made, but honestly did not have a great answer to her question. As her parents, they were highly motivated to find her kids clothing with Black characters but experienced very little success.
