A few years ago, I started a Holiday Bag Drive, where I put together care packages for homeless people in my area. The bags were filled with a few essentials that could help during the winter months. In 2020, when the world seemed to be falling apart, I wanted to continue the drive, but funds were a little tight. Then it hit me! What if I start making customize crafts for the holidays and start selling online to raise enough money to fill bags? My goal was 30 bags in 2020. With the help of some amazing individuals who donated items and supportive customers who purchased from a complete beginner, I hit the 30 bag goal. I decided to roll with it and continue the small business journey and commit a portion of the winter profits for the bag drive. In 2022, I brought my sister on, and the 2 of us started to bring all of these fun creations to our local Artisan Markets. Our goal remains the same.. To bring fun custom creations to the girlies and their besties (the pups, of course) while giving back to our community! HMC is currently committed to the following; Donating 15% of all purchases in the “For the Besties” category to the Ozzie Abies Foundation, donating 10% of an exclusive cup design to a family in their adoption journey, and our holiday bag drive!
