I’m Zoe Scott, a Scottish artist and maker working under the business name Cured. I create Worrywarts by Cured, a range of high quality, hand crafted concrete figures designed as mindful companions, modern day talismans and small moments of fun. The work sits within modern craft and is made in Scotland using eco conscious materials and low energy processes. Worrywarts are sold within a niche market supplying museums, galleries and cultural sites. Each piece combines quiet luxury with storytelling that invites reflection and emotional connection. The tone is playful and whimsical but never childish, creating objects that feel thoughtful, enduring and meaningful to own or gift. Inspired by the Guatemalan worrydolls she received as a child comes a collection of stress relieving creatures. Cast in solid concrete mixed with recycled glass and plastics, they are ultra tactile and fit perfectly into the palm of your hand like a special pebble from the beach. They are designed to be held, displayed and snuggle into pockets. Each Worrywart comes boxed and features their own specials stat for ultimate storytelling. They are slow made, slip cast concrete which features the occasional air bubble. These should be considered as freckles, birthmarks and moles. Just another way that the each Worrywart is unique.
