Plouf floating swimsuits were born as a result of a manufacturing error in a factory. A distracted engineer who injected too much air into a batch of fiber. A Frenchman crosses his path by chance and discovers that this material can be useful to make children float and help them learn to swim. This follows 2 long years of research and development to adapt and optimize this fiber, so that it can be inserted into a swimsuit. Proud of its creation, our brand has filed a patent protecting its technicality, and has approached certifying bodies to comply with European safety standards. But there was no standard for flotation accessories for children. Plouf therefore brought its expertise to CRITT for the creation of a European standard (NF EN 13138-1) and was naturally the first to be certified. For more than 20 years now, Plouf has reassured parents as well as children thanks to swimsuits containing 97% air. These floating swimsuits allow children to learn to swim safely, and with free movement. The quality and style of the French Touch for our children!
