That's because most conventional yoga mats are produced from cheap, environmentally hazardous, and physically toxic materials, like PVC. Even “natural rubber“ yoga mats come at the cost of exploitative and unsustainable farming practices. These mats only last us a handful of years, but they take lifetimes to decompose in landfills. And, since most yoga mats are mass-produced in overseas factories costing less than a few dollars to make, the end retailers are making huge profits off our practice. We're here to help our community practice better yoga by making yoga accessories that are more, well... yogic.
