About Kona Brand

Hey there, my name is Zac Will. I started Kona Brand in my Junior year of high school on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Kona Brand is an apparel company that makes fun winter flannels by combining the feel of traditional flannels with the flare of Hawaiian shirts. At Kona Brand we promote the idea of living a care-filled life surrounded by people and things you care deeply about. One thing I care about is my rescue dog, Kona, and that's why 1% of every Kona Brand purchase goes towards finding a home for rescue dogs. In my junior year of high school my business class gave us a project where we had to come up with a business idea and create a marketing poster for it. That same night my dad and I were bouncing ideas off each other when I noticed that he had his favorite Hawaiian shirt on and I was wearing a flannel shirt. I simply thought, "why not combine them?" Why not create this winter shirt that give you a summer feeling? I looked online for one of these flannels, because I wanted one myself, but the closest thing I could find was a Tommy Bahama shirt. So I said fine, I'll make them myself. And so, Kona Brand came to be.
