About Waya Momma

Waya Momma is a maker out of Fort Wayne, IN and momma owned.  Established in July of 2020 after I lost my job due to covid. Overnight I had to become a stay-at-home mom, a teacher and unemployed. The loss of my job caused me to fall into a deep depression. So I decided I needed to do something to keep my mind busy and picked up some polymer clay and the rest is history! Waya means wolf in Cherokee. My great grandmother was Cherokee and I wanted to pay tribute to my heritage.  I've always felt my spirit animal is the momma wolf. The lead/protector of her pack. I first started out with polymer clay but over the years I have been able to incorporate acrylic into my pieces. Each piece is unique and funky. They stand out to most earring designers. My pieces help you break out of that shell and really let your personality shine. Over the past year I have also included 90s inspired hair clips, colorful beaded necklaces, keychains and incense holders. Read their story
